About the Cottage

Hireith was part of a farm steading in the heart of Glen Clova, Angus, Scotland. It dates back more than 100yrs. It has recently been fully modernised and can provide ideal holiday accommodation for six to eight people.

Accommodation.

Heating and hot water are provided by oil-fired central heating throughout and there is in addition a wood/coal burning stove in the lounge.

The large lounge/living room is well furnished with plenty of seating, coffee tables and the usual home comforts, tv, dvd player etc. It has large double patio doors leading to a small patio and detached “sun house” with a beautiful view looking up to the head of Glen Clova.

The main bedroom is a double room with en suite shower and W.C. There are two smaller single bed rooms, one upstairs, each also with a pullout under bed allowing sleeping for a total of four. One of the sofas in the lounge flattens into a double bed giving sleeping for a further two people if necessary.

Upstairs is the main bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. There is also a downstairs W.C.

The kitchen has all the usual appliances and space for dining.

Payphone, since in the depth of the glen there is more or less no mobile signal. (It can receive incoming calls.)

Toaster
Coffee making machine
All crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils is supplied.
All bed linen, duvet covers and towels are provided.

Vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board and a hair dryer are provided. Pets are welcome but dogs in particular must at all times be restrained outside to avoid sheep worrying. There is plenty of parking.
